Founded in 1906, the Van Cleef & Arpels boutique moved to Place Vendôme. The history of the Van Cleef & Arpels brand is before a love story between Estelle Arpels and Alfred Van Cleef. Lovers of precious stones, but also very talented, the couple will make the house of Van Cleef & Arpels, a luxury jewelry house. In 1976, the brand presented its first fragrance “First” . “Precious Oud” is part of the Extraordinary Collection of Van Cleef & Arpels and was launched in 2011.

Oriental-floral composition, ” Precious Oud” is part of the prestigious Extraordinary Collection of the brand, which includes 6 other fragrances. The main purpose of the latter is to put a noble and natural ingredient in the spotlight. Here, it is therefore the oud that delivers its secrets. Van Cleef & Arpels’ fragrance pays homage to both warm and balsamic resin. Here, these are flowers that combine with exotic woods, which gives the whole an ultra enveloping trail.
Precious Oud, the star of the fragrance
“Precious Oud” takes off on the freshness of bergamot, mixed with frankincense and rose berries for a spicy aspect. The heart of “Precious Oud” is full of femininity and luminosity thanks to the association of tuberose and jasmine. Finally, the base of the fragrance is ultra sensual and combines oud, vetiver, sandalwood, patchouli and amber. The bottle looks like any of the Extraordinary Collection. Rectangular and refined, it reveals the precious nectar of a brilliant orange color.

Perfume – Precious Oud:
It is one of the most precious perfumes that join this collection and it was created by the perfumer Amandine Marie, whose tutor teacher was perfumer Michel Almairac. Her wish is to accentuate oud as an ingredient and combine it with floral elements.
The top notes of this fragrance are enriched with sparkles of bergamot combined with the insolence of pink pepper. The heart abounds with jasmine and tuberose petals wrapped in intense incense on a background of precious woody chords created with notes of patchouli, oud, vetiver, amber and sandalwood.
Precious Oud bottle – Van Cleef & Arpels:
The Van Cleef and Arpels Collection Extraordinaire Precious Oud perfume has the same bottle as the other perfumes in this line, namely, a glass bottle with a black cylindrical cap.
Precious Oud by Van Cleef & Arpels will be available in September 2011 as an Eau de Parfum Spray 75 ml.
