Drakkar Noir is a fragrance for men by Guy Laroche created by perfumer Pierre Wargnye. It was introduced in 1982 and was very successful. Moreover, it won the FiFi Award 1985 in the Men’s Fragrance of the Year – Luxe category. In addition, its smell seems totally timeless and universal. As soon as it was released, Drakkar Noir has become a benchmark in men’s perfumery.. This aromatic fern plays on power. From its beginnings, its scent is explosive and combines lemon, verbena and spearmint. Then, its heart is more aromatic. It combines basil, rosemary and especially lavender. This last ingredient gives it great freshness as well as an undeniable part of strength. The whole is enhanced by a herbal and spicy accord based on juniper berry, coriander, angelica and wormwood. Then, its wake turns towards a more woody structure typical of masculine essences. Its virility draws its source from cedar wood, patchouli, fir balsam and oak moss.
