Terra di Gioia, an evocation of the Mediterranean land by Giorgio Armani

Giorgio Armani was born in 1934 in Plaisance, Italy. After starting medical studies, he finally decided to take a completely different path and become a stylist. Throughout his career, he let himself be guided by many creative elements and multiple sources of inspiration. Among them: his native land and the Mediterranean region! Fascinated by the natural beauty of Italy, the house Giorgio Armani never ceases to evoke it in its perfumes. Once again, in 2021, he repeats the experience. Terra di Gioia by Giorgio Armani is an evocation of the ocher earth of the Mediterranean basin.

Giorgio Armani’s “di Gioia” collection

Terra di Gioia by Giorgio Armani is not a first experience. In fact, it completes a large collection of fragrances, initiated in 2010. It all started with Acqua di Gioia, a fragrance between land and sea, celebrating the joy of reconnecting with its deep nature. Then, evoking other natural elements, Giorgio Armani decided to reinforce the natural presence of this juice by adding two other variations of its scent: Air di Gioia and Sun di Gioia. In 2017, this collection was further enriched by Sky di Gioia, or more recently by Light di Gioia. All these scents have in common to evoke the joyful power of the elements, whether it is earth, sky, sun, water or air. The latter seem to have within them a universal and timeless source of happiness.

The warm breath of Terra di Gioia

Terra di Gioia by Giorgio Armani is intended for a joyful, warm and sensual woman. It encourages all personalities to recharge their batteries in the heart of the natural elements, to live in better harmony with oneself. Evocative of the timeless atmosphere of the Mediterranean basin, Terra di Gioia by Giorgio Armani is like amber rocks or voluptuous dunes plunging into a vast expanse of sea. For this, it begins with a sparkling and tender accord of pear and almond blossom. These two raw materials merge with a fresh and zesty breath of bergamot and tangerine. Then, in its heart, Terra di Gioia by Giorgio Armani is enriched with an enveloping jasmine, extracted in a unique way for Armani, in order to preserve all its intensity. Little by little, like a caress,

A pebble as a bottle

Since it is a question of evoking here all the splendours of nature, Terra di Gioia by Giorgio Armani offers itself a very natural bottle, devoid of any superfluous detail. Going for simplicity, it comes with a perfect grip. All round, it looks like a pebble. As a reminder, this shape is identical to all the perfumes in this collection. Only the color of this bottle changes year after year. This time, it turns orange, as if to evoke the warm earth. At its top proudly sits a round cap tinted with pastel, like terracotta.
