Aqua Allegoria Flora Cherrysia, new Guerlain fragrance

Flora Cherrysia, the most fruity of the three Aqua Allegoria from Guerlain of 2019

Like all the biggest perfume brands, Guerlain has many perfume collections on its shelves. Aqua Allegoria is one of the brand’s most famous assortments. It “pays homage to lavish nature and beautiful raw materials”. The collection brings together “fresh, delicate and smiling waters, which evoke moments of sweetness and cheerfulness”. In 2019, it has been exactly 20 years since the very first Aqua Allegoria saw the light of day. As if to celebrate this anniversary, Guerlain has decided to develop three different new fragrances in 2019 to integrate the collection, a first! From this trio comes the new Flora Cherrysia, a cherry blossom fragrance.

Aqua Allegoria, 20 years of a legendary collection

Aqua Allegoria is a blend of both fresh and delicate fragrances, each essence of which symbolizes the scent of a garden emblematic of a part of the globe. Guerlain has the gift of selecting the most characteristic raw materials of a terrestrial region, as if to project us into a different place in each of these juices. The brand describes the Aqua Allegoria as a “lively, free, cheerful and sophisticated collection”. With it, “raw materials are seized in fine weather and in the heart of nature, at random from a garden, a wood or a beach, here or at the end of the world”. Guerlain’s Aqua Allegoria perfumes project us in a different place each time. They are a passport for the world to be offered on a daily basis.

The return of Guerlain’s famous Bee Flask

All of Guerlain’s Aqua Allegoria perfumes have in common a bottle with a common silhouette. Their bottles immerse us in the heritage of the brand, by reinterpreting the legendary Flacon aux Abeilles by Guerlain, designed in 1853 for Eau de Cologne Impériale. Here, for Flora Cherrysia, this container gives us all the femininity and romanticism of a soft pink juice. It is traversed by innumerable solar meetings, first crossing a dome chiseled in honeycomb and covered with a golden lacquer. Aqua Allegoria Flora Cherrysia is elegantly topped by a cap in the shape of a golden deer, on which is engraved the iconic Guerlain abbey. A label is finally placed on its front face, here drawing a simple and refined harmony.

Flora Cherrysia puts the cherry blossom in the spotlight

Designed by Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk, the Flora Cherrysia perfume draws its inspiration directly from Asia, and more specifically from Japan. It honors the cherry blossom, a star ingredient in this country. With a simple breath, he transports us with poetry to the other side of the globe. Flora Cherrysia also has a very refreshing scent, emphasizing the liveliness of watermelon, bergamot and nashi. Violet gives this perfume a more powdery scent. Finally, the white musk sublimates the whole with a more evanescent breath, as if delicately caressed by the wind.
